Madis Metsis, PhD

Chief Scientific Officer & Co-Founder

Madis is a molecular neurobiologist with 40+ years of experience spanning neuroscience, genomics, immunology, and biotechnology. A former research lead at Karolinska Institute and author of over 120 peer-reviewed publications, his career has focused on gene expression, neurodegeneration, and translational innovation. At EdiLabs, he leads scientific direction, drawing on a lifelong belief that nature holds the answers to our most complex health challenges.

Sirje Rüütel Boudinot, PhD

Scientific Advisor, Immunology and Vaccine Design Advisor

Sirje is an expert in immunology and vaccine development, with extensive experience in molecular diagnostics and applied immunotherapy. She has contributed to EU-funded research across Estonia, Sweden, and France, and currently leads academic studies on immune activation and early diagnostics for Alzheimer’s disease at Tallinn University of Technology. At EdiLabs, Sirje supports immunological design and antigen development, drawing on her broad expertise across both research and translational science.

Toomas Toomsoo, PhD

Scientific Advisor, Neurology

Toomas is a leading neurologist with deep expertise in Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease diagnostics and care. He currently serves as Head of the Internal Medicine Clinic and Consultant Neurologist at Confido Medical Centre and is Professor of Neurology at the University of Tallinn. With over three decades of clinical and academic leadership, including pioneering work in neuroimaging and early biomarker validation, he advises EdiLabs on neurodegenerative disease pathways, clinical translation, and long‑term patient impact.

Prof. Emeritus Bruno Conti, PhD

Scientific Advisor, Pharmacology, Ageing and Age-Associated Diseases

Prof. Conti is an internationally recognised biologist whose work spans pharmacology, neuroscience, and ageing. He is Professor at San Diego Biomedical Research Institute, Professor Emeritus at The Scripps Research Institute, and Adjunct Professor at Yale School of Medicine and Stockholm University. His pioneering work on neuroimmunology, temperature regulation, and neurodegeneration has advanced the understanding of ageing and inspired new approaches to complex age-related diseases.

Chris Bushe, PhD

Commercial Strategy & Industry Partnerships Advisor

Dr Chris Bushe is a pharmaceutical physician and researcher with over three decades of experience in clinical medicine, psychiatry, and pharmaceutical development. He has held senior medical leadership roles at Eli Lilly, Indivior, and Circassia, contributing to research, medical affairs, and patient engagement across psychiatry and neurology. Author of more than 70 scientific publications, book chapters, and conference papers, he brings together scientific insight, medical expertise, and commercial strategy.
